A Running Club for Everyone
Coached Sessions
These sessions take place every Tuesday night at 19:30, meeting at Saintfield Sports Club (hockey pitch). Qualified Coaches and Leaders in Running Fitness take the sessions which are varied and fun and designed to improved running techniques, stamina, speed and build strength.

Social Runs
Three organised group runs per week - Wednesday and Thursday evening and Sunday morning. Locations, routes and distances vary and are designed to cater for all abilities. A great way to connect with clubmates, encourage each other and build miles together. Once a month we offer a Sunday social trail run, heading off-road into the forest, hills and dales. The social runs are not coach led.

Couch to 5k
For those new to running or looking to restart, the Couch to 5k programme is a great foundation. 10 weeks in duration, it builds through walk / run intervals gradually up to running 5km. Programmes typically start January and August.

Club Trips
Opportunities to join the "Striders on Tour" and travel with clubmates to running events across Ireland, UK and Europe. Previous venues have included Lake Garda, Leiden, Ghent, Edinburgh and Malaga.

Saturday morning, also known as parkrunday! Parkrun is a free, community 5km event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. There are around 2,600 events globally, 1,300 in UK and 200 in Ireland, so there is plenty of choice.
